Friends of the Iowa City Farmer’s Market will be at the Saturday morning market on August 7th! As a fundraiser for the organization, FICFM will be selling Heyn’s ice cream cones, hot tea, cold tea, iced cocoa and slices of melon from 7:30am-noon! Also available at the FICFM table will be Simply in Season cookbooks and Sunlight’s Rhapsody cards with pictures of Iowa Farm plants and animals by Laura Dowd.

Friends of the Iowa City Farmer’s Market is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization which provides support for Farmer’s Market activities through fundraising, community involvement and special events. FICFM provides volunteer opportunities for supporters and funds to help the market expand and improve the services it offers to vendors and customers. The FICFM hopes to make the market a vital and exciting part of the local food and small business economy.
