Job Description:
Overview: The Cultivate Hope Manager is the team leader for all Matthew 25 Cultivate Hope activities. Cultivate Hope programs focus on local foods, hunger, education and beautification projects of Matthew 25. Current activities include a working Urban Farm, which serves as a local food educational hub, and three school/community gardens.
Essential Duties:
•    Oversee development of Matthew 25 Urban Farm in a way that creates a revenue generating farm, a model of local foods production and education which is aesthetically pleasing and adds value to the neighborhood.
•    Oversee development of sustainable, local foods educational programs at partner schools in core neighborhoods.

Skills/Qualifications:
Team-centered approach. Must be able to learn and receive guidance from Co-executive Directors, Community Development Committee and Matthew 25 Board. Willing to learn new skills.  Should be passionate about farming, local foods, food education and food challenges of low income residents.  Should be comfortable requesting help and communicating needs to Co-Directors and staff.  Demonstrate and educate volunteers on the appropriate way to do things.  Take ownership of mistakes when they occur and work to resolve them.  Treat all people you interact with respectfully as a public face of Matthew 25.  Should possess a sense of urgency related to timelines and a willingness to work quickly and efficiently.  Should always maintain a positive and upbeat attitude.  Should be comfortable working with a faith based organization.  Familiar with budgeting and strategic planning so as to be able to organize the Cultivate Hope program.  Some public speaking skills would be helpful as well as comfort making presentations to city leaders or potential donors.
