Your donation is safe: Local Foods Connection is a state-certified non-profit organization. In addition, Local Foods Connection is recognized as a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization by the IRS. We obtained this status with pro bono assistance from the Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa. Most of your tax-deductible donation dollar goes directly to local farmers, with a small portion paying for office supplies and such items as kitchen utensils for the families.
